15th IPSC Schleswig-Holstein in Quickborn

Photo Jack Rømer, my first match as Senior and I got a second place

My last match of this year 2010 is over and my last match was also my first match as Senior and that was on the 15th IPSC Schleswig-Holstein Match Quickborn Germany

I left Copenhagen Friday afternoon 11 pm and drive down to Quickborn together with NROI Michael Løye and IROA Anders Buchwald, we had to work on this match also together with two other NROI from Denmark Claus Henneberg and Mark Weisinger, a top crew from Denmark :0)

Photo Jack Rømer, here I make breafing for the Danish squad

Normal this match has 8-9 stages and around 150 rounds, that is a long way to drive for so small amount of ammo , but this time they had made a match of 12 stage and about 220 rounds, so they had really done something this time, even stage design this time was very challenging, that is something I really like

The only thing we think is wrong it was on the 100 meter range, they had made a hot range, one stage with 14 rounds and a stage with 32 rounds, and it took really long to get settled even all the RO made a really good job and they could not do more than they did, it was our IROA man Anders Buchwald and IROA Reiner and their crew.

I worked on 25 meters and had stage 2,6,9 and 12 together with Claus, Michael and a German NROI Mattias, there were 4 stage at 25 meters left and 4 stages at 100 meters range over 2 days , rank in Quickborn is made so there are 3 range so there was some rebuilding.

Photo Jack Rømer       Here I try to do my best

There are 4squad so there's always a squad there will have like one hour break

I got time to shoot the match this time and this time as a SENIOR, it's my first match as a senior and how did it go, actually better than expected, I was up against the strong German Herber Kraft and he was a little too strong for me this time he won with 18, 19%.

When you consider that I also work as CRO  and that is what I normally do in Quickborn, but then also shoot the match as my first level 3 match as a senior, I made it ok

Saturday was the best day for me, I tried to gas myself up and I did it fine, Sunday started badly for me, already from the morning, when I wake up, I felt very bad, it was a hard working days Saturdays, so I had pain on my entire body and was dizzy, so I hesitated to shoot when I finally pulled myself together and got the gun in my hand, I got better, and shot the rest of the stage in save mode and it was good I did it, I would not take a changer with the health I had, so it was actually only my own stage which did not go so well, I got a miss and a noshoot ummm.

But all in all ok I finish by getting a 2 place in the senior with 81,81% and 61,44 % so I was happy enough for it, and now looks forward to 2011 with more speed and try to get my first PM. :0))
