This year’s Rooster Mountain 2010 is over and time to look back on that match as a Range Master
July 15 and 16 was the 2 days pre-match with 21 shooters
18 stage 9 stages each day. We shot the pre-match in the same way as the main match.
The main match was on July 17 and 18
We had 3 areas.
On the road with 5 stages, on the 200 meter range with 4 stages and the 300 meter range with 9 stage incl. the 2 hot ranges, all in all 5 short courses, 4 medium courses and 9 long courses. 131 shooter, 342 rounds, so around 48.400 rounds
I got 17 NROI. 4 from Finland, 2 from Sweden, 1 from Germany and 10 from Denmark and I got 5 IROA Geir and Gunnar from Norway, Petteri and Pekka from Finland and my Vice RM Gert Hansen from Denmark.
We started the pre-match and my squad started on the 300 meter range the hot range stage 7 and 17 two short course 9 rounds.
Stage 8 was realy fun stage to shot, 13 target and 4 plates, 30 round and 150 point
Stage 8 target in short distance, and target on long distance, then you should run up of some wood pallets stairs and shot 2 target and on top of the stairs 4 plate and one target right down, realy fun stage. my time 34,06 28 A and 2 C. very very long time I know that, I got some problem.

The pre- match was running ok little long on the first day.
Gert and I discovered small issues on stage 11 and 16 and issues issand have to do some small change.
Then we had big problem with the plate so Gert and I have to make a plan B for the plate with some big wood in front of the plate, but still we had some re shoot on stage 14 and 15.
The main match start on Saturday with the first shot 9am, I had Gunnar Roos on Area 1 stage 1,2,3,9, and 10, Geir Owe on the 200 meter range and Crono, Petteri and Pekka on the 300 meter Range with the 2 hot range and stage 6, 8, 13 and 16.
All the Area run very well we only had 4 DQ for the whole match I know that’s is 4 to much, 2 breaking the 90, one shooter pass the DQ line to the plate. And one AD on magazine change
We finish shooting 4pm each day, so the schedule was working well.
Beside the RO grill on Thursday we also had a BBQ on Saturday evening with some shooter and RO half of the meat sponsored by my butcher DELI Food
We had visit of Double-Alpha Academy with Saul Kirsch and Eli Huttner, nice to have both back to Rooster again, DAA was also one of the sponsor on the match
I have been too many matches around the world, I will not tell you because this is my country and our match, but the stages on this match was some of the best stages I ever have been shooting. Many other shooters told me the same thinks.
The two MD who design all the stages Claus K. Henneberg and Per Bressendorff a big big hand for that job.
And of course to all the people there have been on the range to build the stages for almost 3 week great job.
It was also the first time we had a Rooster Mountain with all the stage finish, so we don’t have to go around and build and build to be ready for the next day, only those small issues.

This match was also the first match with my new classictarget shirt.
So I was ready for better shooting hi hi, my one performence 60,85 % it was ok, but I will start to work hard now I have a gold in front of me end of this year when im turning to senior, my fiend Gert Hansen shot standard this time and he was only 1 % en head of me, so I have to take that, and the one I have to beat is 8 % in front of me, so back to training.

I’m looking back on the small issues
First of all it’s a little ignoring you tell everyone how the IROA order works but still some don’t follow the order shooter as well the RO, its works in many country but in Denmark it cannot work, but we have to teach all our RO now how it works and they going to try that in our small matches so they know for the bigger matches.
Our plates here in Denmark have to work much better, we have problem on every match, and now we got new plate and it still not work, and we will try to make it work for the next match.
When we go true all the stages on before and on the pre-match we really have to take the time and get it right in the first place, so we don’t have problem between the people there build and design the stages and the Ro.
The people there organize the match and the people t
here work on the match have to know there position and what to do, so when small issues comes it will not come as a surprise.
