Food Stop

The Dane

Lars Hagemann

After waiting for our Danish MD for 1 hours, we was ready to hit the road to Gothenburg 4½ hours driving with one food stop, we arrive on the range 8:45 pm, and just took a quick look on the stage, have a talk with the MD Christer Back. Then we went to our hotel Örgryte, a quick drink then for a good sleep, ready for tomorrow first day Ro´ing on stage 7. More later.
Day 1
Production,Modified ore Revolver
9 stage, 130 rounds and 105 shooters in 18 squad
After a nice breakfirst we arive on the range 7:30 am first shot 8 am, I work on stage 7, long course 9 target, i popper and 3 plate, sitting on chair gun loaded and holster. Lot´s of shooter got problem shooting the plate, I have to put a stick in front of the plate otherwise we would have lots of reshoot, we finish 5:45 pm.
One of the divisions today was modified, I only have one shooter with a real modified gun the rest was standard guns nobody shooting this divisions, so its training for standard tomorrow, I dont personal like it that way. i look forward for tomorrow, I strart RO on stage 7 again, and shoot the match around 1 pm, we will have 140 shooters, so it will be a hard day
Day 2
Standard and Open
Today was the last day of 2 days match
We are 4 IROA Tim Andersen, Steen Nitcheke, Lars Thilqvists and me, 1 NROI Mark Weisinger and our new upcoming NROI Rene Voss.
We arrive on the range 6:30, first shot 7 am and we had 118 shooter, 9 stage 130 rounds.
I work this morning on stage 7 like yesterday, same kind of stage only the start position was different.
The only problem I got on this match ore in my stage was the blue barrel, hard cover, you got some problem with shooter if they hit true the barrel, and there was part of a whole in the target, according to the rules (In respect of Rule 9.1.6.1, if it cannot be determined which hit(s) on a scoring paper target or no-shoot are the result of shots fired through hard cover, the scoring paper target or no-shoot will be scored by ignoring the applicable number of highest scoring hit(s). Then there should be no problem, but you will have problem, they don’t understand it, so some of us have to be nice sometimes
And after I make the plate we don’t have the same problem like yesterday
I got 9 squad, and the last shooter I got before it was my turn to shoot the match, got a DQ he lost his loaded gun on the ground after the start signal.
I was in squad with Ralf, Jack, Hage, Mark and Peter Schieck, my first stage was stage 9 very good start and 2 miss, umm, then got to stage 1 with one of our new upcoming Ro Rene Voss, 1 miss, and in my stage stage 7 forgot 1 target, and the same target as Peter Schieck. Lars Hagemann had a very good match
Jack Rømer was shooting standard normal he shooting prod. And he was shooting very good and with Ralf´s gun, Jack only had one problem with the gun, he don’t use to a gun with safety and also had one funny problem to get a full loaded magazine inside special on stage 6 J . Ralf had also some problem in the stage 1 and 2 it cost him some point, and in that point, jack was in front of Ralf, but not for long J
It was a long day for me, but that’s the way if you are Ro, so I don’t complain but sad my performance only got to 5378%
My conclusion of the match, it was ok stage they just have to find a way to make the plate so we don’t have all the problem with reshoot, and last it’s sad to see so many shooter sign up for the match and then they don’t turn up, if you sign up, then turn up, its lot of work for MD. Thanks’ Christer Back and RM Stefan Johannesson, for a nice match see you again next year.
